BTS Star Kim Taehyung posted a cryptic image teasing a new haircut in his Instagram story on November 26. The story left fans worried about whether he shaved his head ahead of his compulsory military enlistment.
V’s fans are rightly worried, given that Bighit Entertainment recently announced that the remaining members of the BTS, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have initiated their compulsory military enlistment process.
BTS star Kim Taehyung has not gone bald yet. He revealed that he had just trimmed his hair on a Weverse Live on November 26. V’s new haircut is an undercut with shorter bangs.
The star was simply teasing his fans in his recent Instagram story. But given the circumstances, he might soon need to get a buzzcut before going for his training.
Why Did Taehyung Get A New Haircut?
In South Korea, every able adult male citizen must enlist for compulsory military training due to the country’s ongoing political tensions with North Korea. Citizens are required to shave their heads before beginning their training.
Celebrities are also required to enlist themselves, so the BTS members are no different. Therefore, fans were quick to assume that Taehyung had shaved his head after his Instagram story featuring a lot of hair and an emoji of a haircut.
Although V came live to reveal that he has not gone bald yet, it is a matter of time, given that the star has already begun his military enlistment process. Earlier, BTS member RM also surprised fans with a new haircut on August 5, 2023.
In his Weverse live, Taehyung said he did not have short hair and that he cut his hair while dawning a mischievous smile. Another BTS member, J-Hope, also attended V’s live and commented that the new haircut makes him look handsome.
V replied to J-Hope, asking him about his wellbeing, giving BTS fans another moment to rejoice. He also revealed that he had to pull off an all-nighter and had to travel somewhere far the next day. The singer kept the location undisclosed.
Taehyung also sang along to fellow bandmate Jungkook and DJ Snake’s new song, Please Don’t Change, and urged fans to listen to it.
Fans reacted quickly to both the Instagram story and the Weverse Live. When Taehyung came live, fans trended “He Still Has Hair” on X (formerly Twitter). Clearly, BTS ARMYs are rejoicing after knowing that Taehyung hasn’t shaved his head. Earlier this month, “Get Well Soon Taehyung” also trended on X after the singer revealed he caught a cold.
