However, others can’t wait to get away from news of the two. But it doesn’t look like they are going away from the headlines soon, so it’s better to embrace the madness. So, how did this circus begin? When did the two lovebirds meet?
On the July 26, 2023, episode of the New Heights podcast, Travis Kelce revealed that he made a friendship bracelet with his number to give to Taylor Swift at her Kansas City concert. But he couldn’t because she didn’t meet anyone. However, Taylor did hear about Travis, and they connected later. Now, they are dating.
How Did Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Meet?
We have seen multiple pictures of Taylor Swift attending the Kansas City Chiefs games where Travis Kelce played. She was there with her friends, his friends, and his mom.
But how did they meet?
It looks like the romantic connection was one-sided initially because she had caught Travis Kelce’s eyes instead of vice versa. So, he was the one who had expressed interest first.
Kelce had first discussed his interest in her in the July 26, 2023, episode of the New Heights podcast with his brother and fellow NFL player, Jason Kelce.
Travis revealed that he had attended Taylor’s Kansas City concert and planned to give her a friendship bracelet with his number. He said:
“If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets, and I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it.”
However, he was unsuccessful in his mission because Swift didn’t meet anybody during the concert because of her vast workload. Travis revealed:
“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs she sings. She doesn’t meet anybody — or at least she didn’t want to meet me, so I took it personally.”
There were later reports that Swift had heard about his broken heart and met him. They connected, and soon after, speculations about a romance brewing between them quickly took the internet by storm.
The podcast episode was released on July 26, 2023, and Taylor Swift was first seen at a Chiefs game on September 24, 2023. So, the two must have begun a relationship pretty quickly.
So, all in all, their relationship is a fanfiction come true. Recently, the two were spotted together on a date in Buenos Aires. Taylor Swift is currently in Argentina to prepare for the next leg of her concert.
As per the footage shared by ESPN reporter Tory Barron, the two held hands and went to the Elena restaurant inside the Four Seasons Hotel on November 10. Fans reported that Papa Swift was also with them.
Many people inside even clapped upon seeing them together. The world is enamored with this relationship and can’t get enough of it. However, many Swifties think it seems like a PR relationship.
