It’s amazing how influential the Kardashians are in the present world, and there are probably not many people who pay attention to the Western world that don’t know about them.
However, not many know that both the Kardashians and Jenners are related to each other in some way. So, how did this whole Kardashian-Jenner family tree emerge? And who is the mother of the Kardashians?
Kris Jenner, formerly known as Kris Houghton, is the mother of Kardashians, who gave birth to Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, and Rob Kardashians. She later married Caitlyn Jenner (prior to her transition) and gave birth to Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
The Emergence of the Kardashian Family: Explained
It all started with Kris Jenner and Robert Kardashian in 1978 when they married each other. In the following few years, they gave birth to Kourtney (1979), Kim (1980), Khloe (1984), and Rob (1987).
However, their relationship didn’t last long as Robert divorced Kris in 1991 after she cheated on him, and later, Kris married Caitlyn Jenner (we will get back to this later).
The four Kardashians further extended their family as their eldest, Kourtney, married Scott Disick, an entrepreneur, and had three children: Mason, Penelope, and Reign, between the years 2006 and 2015.
Kim Kardashian, after going through a few breakups and divorces, married Kanye West in 2014 and had two daughters and two sons between 2013 and 2019: North West, Saint West, Chicago West, and Psalm West.
Khloe Kardashian, the third eldest of the Kardashians, dated the famous basketball player Tristan Thompson in 2016 and gave birth to a daughter named True Thompson in 2018 and a boy named Tatum Thompson through surrogacy in 2022.
The youngest of the Kardashians, Rob began dating model Blac Chyna in 2016, and a month following their marriage, they had their first child, Dream Renee Kardashian.
Coincidentally, none of the Kardashians are together with their partners in 2023 because everyone has broken up with their spouses for personal reasons, but they are raising their children well.
The Emergence of the Jenner Family: Explained
Just like how the Kardashians appeared and became one of the most popular families in the world, Jenners also have a similar history. In fact, they both share the same mother: Kris Jenner.
Following her divorce from Robert Kardashian in 1991, Kris Houghton married the retired Olympian Bruce Jenner the same year, who later came out as transgender in 2015 and changed her name to Caitlyn Jenner.
Bruce and Kris had two daughters, Kendal Jenner in 1995 and Kylie Jenner in 1997, two of the most successful in the Jenner family.
However, Bruce Jenner previously married a couple of times. The first was to Christy Scott from 1972 to 1981 and had a son named Burt Jenner and a daughter named Cassandra Mario.
Following their divorce, Bruce married songwriter Linda Thompson, and together, they had two sons: Brandon Jenner and Brody Jenner.
Even though the third marriage with Kris Jenner lasted for nearly 22 years, they both separated in 2013 due to irreconcilable differences, and two years later, Bruce Jenner came out as transgender and changed his name to Caitlyn Jenner.
Now, returning to their children, Kylie Jenner, the former billionaire whose net worth is around $700 million, started dating the famous rapper Travis Scott in 2017 and had a daughter with him, whom she named Stormi Webster.
In September 2021, the couple had their second child, Aire Webster, and eventually separated in January 2023. Currently, Kendall Jenner has neither married nor had children, but she is only 27 years old, so the Jenner bloodline continues in the future through her as well.
On the other hand, the initial Jenner siblings, Brandon and Brody, have also been through marriages and had a daughter each with their respective spouses.
So, this is the Kardashian-Jenner family tree that gave rise to many iconic celebrities. What are your thoughts on it?
