As the world’s best-selling book, the Bible has many related publications, including the Books of Samuel, Revelation, and Esther.

Given the many books related to the events inscribed into the Holy Bible, people often get confused about how certain books are linked to the Bible.

So, like many other books, is Kings a Book in the Bible? Yes. Kings, otherwise known as Books of Kings, which are separated into the books of 1 and 2 but are written into a unified story, is a book in the Hebrew Bible that consists of collections of Hebrew scriptures referring to the book’s original language.

What Story Does the Books of Kings Tell?

The key message from the books of Kings and Chronicles in the Bible – is nations do well with honest, competent and righteous leaders.

Many Nigerian Christians, on the other hand, have persisted in the belief that "my case is different" since the 1980s.

The Bible has so many stories recorded in it from the time of our existence and Kings of Books is merely one of the many stories that the believers of God should be aware of.

Although there are two books in the series, they tell the story in a combined manner, where an abruptly ended scenario in Book 1 picks up in the second.

So, Kings of Books tells the story of the kings who followed after David, who unified the tribes of Israel and formed a single kingdom. The books are further divided into five movements.

In every movement, the books focus on Jerusalem, with the first movement featuring the reign of Solomon and how Jerusalem was destroyed, leading to Israel being exiled to Babylon.

The further movements involve the depiction of the history of how Israel was split into two kingdoms and went on a path of corruption. This eventually led to the emergence of prophets who addressed the corruption and sins of Israel.

Eliahu Ha'Navi: Elijah or Elias according to Books of Kings in Hebrew #Bible was prophet from Tishba in Gilaad on Golan who lived in northern kingdom of #Israel during reign of King Ahab. For every king that took over Israel and corrupted it, God revealed more prophets to hold them accountable, such as Elisha and Elijah. While we could go on and on about the details that transpired in the two books, it would spoil your experience.

Who Wrote the Books of Kings in the Bible?

While many believe that the history of Judaism claims that Jerimiah, a prophet who existed in Judah in the Old Testament, wrote the Books of Kings, the author has been anonymous.

Apparently, the books are based on older Hebrew documents that feature the deeds of Solomon, the adventures of the Kings of Judah, and the chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

So, many believe that the original documents were never found but were copied down so that the truth about the history would be passed down to the generations.

Nonetheless, many still believe that Jeremiah was the one who wrote them during 580 BC because he was the only one who got the accurate representation of Joshua, Judges, and the Kings of Israel.

So, have you been planning to read the Books of Kings? What are your thoughts on the subject? Do you believe Jeremiah is the one who wrote the Books of Kings? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
