Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has been one of the hottest anticipated games in the market that has created its buzz for a long time.
As the developers behind the sequel, Insomniac Games, have recently announced they’re “nearly doubling” the size of Marvel’s New York, the gamers cannot wait for it.
However, there is a certain group of the gaming community who is expecting to know whether the game will be available for PC or not.
At the recently held Sony’s State of Play presentation, Spider-Man 2 gave the best look yet at the game’s open world. The sequel will let gamers swap between the two superheroes with ease and will see them gliding around New York City faster than ever before.
With all that, there is sad news for PC gamers as Spider-Man 2 will not be available for the PC. Many gamers are also curious to know if Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be released on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PS4.
Why Spider-Man 2 Will Not Come To PC?
Being the hotly anticipated game of 2023, and with good reason, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is said to be exclusively for Sony’s Play Station. Considering Sony’s strategy of releasing first-party games on PC, it can be assumed that the company might release another remastered version of the game for the PC, unlike its first part.
Even in the past, Sony never confirmed that their games would be coming to PC after first launching on Play Station. However, as both the original and Miles Morales came to PC with huge fanfare, it would be very surprising if Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 didn’t also launch on PC. They might release the game at some point in the future to allow PC players to continue the storyline.
Will Spider-Man 2 Be on PS4 Or Any Other Device?
Spider-Man 2 is certainly one of the most exciting reveals at the PlayStation Showcase, giving gamers a glimpse of the game’s flashy combat and web-slinging action. However, the game is officially said to be a PS5 exclusive and will not be available for Play Station 4 or any other device.
Apart from the PS 5, Spidery fans from other platforms like Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC will not be able to get their hands on the new game.
What To Expect from Spider-Man 2?
Insomniac Games showcased Marvel’s anticipated Spider-Man 2 and gave a closer look at the expanded New York City, which now includes Brooklyn and Queens. What was more surprising was the new 65 different Spider-Man suits from comics, movies, and more.
The newly released trailer showed off the much larger map and a look at new activities and storylines available in the open world.
With unique abilities, each unlock will come with multiple Suit Styles allowing users to further customize the appearance of any given suit, with multiple color schemes on offer. In total, gamers can expect “over 200 different ways” to alter the look of both Peter Parker and Miles Morales, as Intihar outlined in the gameplay trailer.
Spider-Man 2 is scheduled to release exclusively for the PlayStation 5 on October 20, 2023.
