COVID-19 has spread its roots deep like the trees that have lived for years. COVID-19, short for ‘Coronavirus Disease 2019,’ is known for being a highly contagious respiratory illness. The virus keeps mutating, almost like it has built-in software.
The world has suffered massively due to this massive virus. For almost three years, the globe paced very slowly. Even after the invention of the COVID-19 vaccine, the virus can still be transmitted and transferred from an infected person to a healthy one.
On 4th September 2023, news spread on the internet that Jill Biden had tested positive for COVID-19, and this is indeed true. Last year in July, Jill Biden tested positive despite being fully vaccinated. This was her second time getting infected by the deadly virus. The office of First Lady released an official statement, stating – “This evening, the First Lady tested positive for COVID-19. She is currently experiencing only mild symptoms. She will remain at their home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.”

Jill Tracy Jacobs Biden is an American educator and the wife of America’s now president ‘Joe Biden.’ She also had the position of “Second lady of the United States” when his husband was appointed as vice-president from 2009 to 2017. Jill Biden is a professor of English and teaches at Northern Virginia Community College.
It is believed that Jill Biden is the only first lady who holds a salaried position during her husband’s tenure. Biden has her bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware and her master’s from West Chester University and Villanova University. The First Lady holds master’s degrees in 2 subjects, English and Education from respective universities.
Subsequently, Jill Biden earned her doctoral degree in Education from the University of Delaware. Along with teaching English, she has contributed her knowledge and skills to instruct adolescents with emotional disabilities at a psychiatric hospital. People of the states have praised the First Lady for her contribution to social work.
Jill Biden has founded the “Biden Breast Health Initiative non-profit organization.” She holds the position of co-founder in “The Book Buddies program, Biden Foundation and Joining Forces.” She also authored a significant thesis named “Student Retention at the Community College: Meeting Students’ Needs.” Jill Biden has also published a memoir along with two children’s books. It’s evident that she has a deep affinity for children.
COVID-19 Testing and Timeline
On September 4, 2023, it was confirmed by the communications director, Elizabeth Alexander, that the first lady had tested positive for COVID-19. She further added, “She will remain at their home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.”
Following this, Jill Biden returned from Delaware on Monday evening alone. Upon this confirmation, Joe Biden was tested as well, and the test was negative. White House informed,
“The President tested negative. The President will test at a regular cadence this week and monitor for symptoms.”
Apparently, this was the second time the lady tested positive for COVID-19. In July 2022, she contracted the disease and tested positive for the first time since the outbreak.
In that time frame, communications director Elizabeth Alexander stated that the lady was double vaccinated and was boosted twice as well. This explains that she had received both the vaccination and booster dose. Hopefully, she will recover soon!
