Disneyland has often been a clear choice to re-live childhood dreams of meeting famous cartoon characters. But lately, many visitors have experienced the early closing of the cartoon-themed park. The reason might come to us as bizarre, but this is what it is.
The visitors were expecting a fun experience, but lately, the Hilary Hurricane and the earthquake caused displeasure to their fun.
Well, the good news is that Disneyland is open as per the official announcement made by the administrators, but there’s a slight change in the operating hours, and the park will be closing early.
Disneyland Schedules Changed: Is It Open Today?
The Disneyland resorts were kept open for all the people. There has been some uncertainty that the popular theme park has been closing for people early than it use to.
Recently the Hilary Hurricane hit the North American region, and a magnitude of 5.1 Richter scale earthquake hit the area the most, causing the popular tourist spot to close early.
So, according to the website of the California Adventure Theme Park, it stated-
The resort’s Disney California Adventure Park, Disneyland Park, and Downtown Disney District closed early — at 9 p.m., 10 p.m., and 11 p.m., respectively — on Sunday based on “the latest information from the National Weather Service.”
The park normally closes around 10 p.m., 12 a.m., and 1 a.m. Many other parks outside South California, like Anaheim, remained open despite heavy rain alerts during weekends. The earthquake took place in the city of Ojai, 80 miles from northwest L.A. On Sunday afternoon, had to evacuate the theme park with the visitors and ceased its daily operations.
People visiting the places took their social media pages to show their excitement but the change of schedules caused a distasteful experience, yet the character did lighten up the bored audiences.
It was also not affirmed that the hurricane damaged any rides in Disneyland. As per the information on the website; with 58 attractions and with a natural disaster with wind speed of 65 mph, there must have been some damage.
Are Other Disneyland Parks Also Closed Due to Hurricane?
The SeaWorld and Sesame Place in San Diego put up on Sunday that they prioritize their guest’s well-being and released a statement stating-
“To ensure the safety of our guests, ambassadors, and animals during this time.”
Though they didn’t mention the time it will be having visitors.
Six Flags posted on Monday that they will be reopening on 24 August. Universal Studios Hollywood also released a statement to Fox Business stating-
“The safety of our guests and team members is our top priority, and while we currently expect to remain open, we suggest guests return to this website or for updates before visiting our destination.”
Many South L.A. regions which were drought-prone are now heavily filled with rainwater.
