Will the real Slim Shady please stand up?
Well, this is what the internet is asking on the rumors of Eminem being dead or alive. Being the ‘Rap God’ of the music industry, the Grammy award winner has fallen to the nasty prey to baseless rumors of being dead.
While this is not the first time any celebrity has been a victim of such a hoax, the fans of Marshall Bruce Mathers III, aka Eminem, were really concerned. However, Eminem is alive and doing pretty well in his life, as the frightful rumors of his death are completely false.
What Is Eminem Doing Now in 2023?
The 50-year-old artist knows how to stay relevant in the industry. Recently, the ‘Rap god’ maker was in the news for his eldest daughter Alaina Scott’s wedding with longtime boyfriend Matt Moeller.
Many speculated he was not at the wedding, which was debunked by his daughter as she revealed that her father was present and walked her down the aisle. Apart from his personal life, he recently shared the stage with Ed Sheeran and took the internet with fire as their live show set the internet on fire where everyone was delighted to see their Rap god.
Is Eminem a Clone of the Original Marshall Mathers?
A conspiracy theory revolving around Eminem being dead in 2006 has been doing rounds on the internet quite often. What is more interesting is the fact it claims that he was replaced by a clone of the original Marshall Mathers. Many also ask if he is an imposter or an Android of the original artist, who is rumored to be dead.
Making a hill out of a molehill, some netizens also pointed out how the lyrics in Eminem’s songs changed after 2006, as even his dressing sense also changed into a darker style.
Following the conspiracy theory being circulated on the internet, some netizens also noticed the singer’s jawline, which has also changed dramatically over the years. Reacting to the tweet, it further agreed with netizens’ comments and added, “Those are valid points! There’s a lot to go back and forth with this conspiracy.”
Eminem glitching during a live television broadcast, and another theory by a fellow Rapper on human clones
What added more fuel to the conspiracy was Eminem glitching during a live ESPN coverage. The rapper made an unlikely and puzzling appearance on the ‘Saturday Night Football’ halftime show, in which he awkwardly answered questions about his then-upcoming album. He even told host Brent Musburger that live TV makes him uncomfortable, but it was obvious from the start that something was amiss.
In 2019, the release of Tom Macdonald’s ‘Cloned Rappers’ music video sent believers of the theory into a frenzy, as Macdonald claimed in his song that ‘Illuminati took bone samples to clone rappers.’ He also added that they had put the real beings in prison to ‘silence their vision.’
The ‘Rap God’ once shared how he ALMOST killed himself
Being one of the popular rappers with a huge fan following worldwide, Eminem has been an inspiration for his fans. While controversies have surrounded his life, he is known for recovering from it and coming out with a bang.
Away from the limelight of fame and success, the rapper once shared going down memory lane and spoke about the time he overdosed on drugs in 2007.
Eminem revealed it was music which saved his life when he became a substance misuser. During an interaction, he said that he was not supposed actually to be here tonight because of a couple of reasons. He mentioned about he almost died from an overdose in 2007 as he thought “drugs were f**king delicious”. He later added, “I thought we had a good thing going on, but I had to go and f**k it all up. Goddamn,” as reported by Page Six.
What Is Next for Eminem?
Recently, Eminem signed a new artist called EZ Mil to his label Shady House and has also featured on EZ Mil’s new song “Realest.” In the new song, Eminem did not leave a chance to diss various musicians that have hated him in the past.
After ruling for decades in the industry, the fans have been desperately waiting for his new project. While his controversial lyrics and rapid-fire delivery have set a benchmark, his ability to weave personal experiences into his work has earned him a devoted fan base and numerous accolades. Being one of the most successful and influential artists of all time, Eminem has shown no signs of slowing down.
