Bryson Lashun Potts, better known as NLE Choppa, is a rapper and singer who gained fame for his animated and energetic vocals. Despite some personal setbacks, he achieved a number of notable accomplishments in his career.
In 2020, he was nominated for the BET Hip Hop Awards in the Best New Hip Hop Artist category, and in 2021 he was named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Music list.
Other than his music, he was also known for his affairs, which eventually ended on a bad note. He called it quits with Marissa Da’Nae last year. Post-breakup, fans are eager to know if the rapper has found love again or if he is single. Well, the answer is NLE Choppa is still single as of 2023 and isn’t dating anyone yet.

NLE Choppa hogged the limelight with the release of his debut studio album, Top Shotta, in 2020. NLE Choppa initially started dating Mariah but later broke up with her. According to Urban Islandz, the couple was “inseparable” and were very much in love. In fact, Mariah was a prominent figure in many of the rapper’s music videos. He even wrote “Forever” as an ode to his ride-or-die queen. But soon, the lovebirds went separate ways.
Although the exact reason for their separation was not known according to rumor mills, NLE Choppa cheated on her. Mariah even alleged that the rapper “shot at her with a Draco from a near-ranged but missed.”
However, the two welcomed their first child, daughter Clover, and decided to co-parent their child.
NLE Choppa, who was 19 years old at the time, was then in the news for being in a relationship with then-26-year-old Marissa Da’Nae. Marrisa is a social media influencer who is best known for her fashion and lifestyle content. She is also the CEO of ‘Brazy But Lavish Boutique’ and ‘Lavish Hair.’
Despite the age difference, the couple dated for a year and posted various mushy pictures on social media platforms. However, their love saga also ended on a bitter note.
On September 13, 2022, NLE Choppa took to Twitter to announce his single status. After the announcement went viral, Marissa took to Instagram, informing her followers that she had not been able to sleep or eat properly post break-up with NLE Choppa.
When ex-girlfriend Marissa’s emotional video garnered massive support, NLE Choppa took to YouTube to address their break-up in a 37-minute video titled “Clearing the Air.” In the video, NLE Choppa took complete responsibility for the breakup. In the video, he said, “To begin, I take full blame, full accountability, full responsibility for all my actions.”
He went on to say that he did not want to be intimate with just a single person and believed in a polygamous relationship, but Marissa was not keen on the idea, which is why “he left” her.
He said, “Marissa was willing to give up all of these things that she felt, that she was going to get out of life. She was with me in a sense of hope out of life, and I grew out of it. She was willing to do everything… her mind and her heart wanted to do it, but her soul… that was not what her soul wanted.”
He then started pursuing 41 years old Meagan Good, who rejected his advance in public. But despite the huge age difference, he was eager to win her heart.
