It all started after an anonymous user on Twitter claimed that Mitski was no more and had passed away. This created a sense of commotion among her fans; some of them blindly believed the comment.
It was after this that the fake news of her death started to circulate on the internet. Instead of cross-checking and verifying the claims, some fans created an atmosphere of panic which also made others believe that the star was, indeed, dead.
