30-year-old body-builder Jo Lindner, better known as Joesthetics, passed away on Friday. His death was confirmed by his friends and girlfriend.
Jo Lindner’s girlfriend posted on Instagram that he was facing neck pain a few days prior to his death. However, no one knew it would lead to such grave circumstances.
Joesthetics had 8.5 million Instagram followers and 949k subscribers on YouTube. All his fans are sorely missing the fitness influencer due to his bright personality and helpful videos that often busted bodybuilding myths.
In an interview with YouTuber Bradley Martyn in early June, it was revealed that Jo had a condition called rippling muscle disease. It caused muscles to be hyperirritable to pressure or movement. Fatigue, cramps, and muscle stiffness are common after strenuous activity due to the condition.
Joesthetics passed away due to an aneurysm caused by thinning or weakening of blood vessels that causes localized swelling or rupture of the artery wall. The dangerous aspect of an aneurysm is the fact that there are often no symptoms, but a ruptured aneurysm can lead to fatal consequences and, in Lindner’s case, death.
Fans have been speculating that the aneurysm might have been caused by steroid abuse or other performance-enhancing drugs. No such correlation has been confirmed by Jo’s daily or friends yet, so I advise you to take it with a hint of salt.
Jo Lindner’s girlfriend posted images of the happy couple that they were and a heartfelt message. She stated that they were cuddling before the gym, and everything happened too fast. The trauma is visible from the wording alone, as she has just lost a loved one so suddenly.
Let’s hope that Jo’s loved ones can find solace after the tragic incident and that Jo himself is in a better place.
