Popular TikToker, Wyatt Yeager, better known as Icy Wyatt, was arrested in March 2022. However, the reason behind his arrest has eluded the Internet for the past year. Why so? Because the official records and Icy’s statements have a stark difference.
While Icy was arrested for aggravated assault with a weapon, resisting arrest, and other charges, Icy claimed that he was the victim in the case. For a year, people didn’t know which version to believe without any proof.
All your confusion is about to end as the bodycam footage of the incident has just been revealed on the Internet.
Icy Wyatt Arrest Bodycam Footage
A YouTube channel EWU Bodycam released the police bodycam footage of the whole incident regarding Icy Wyatt, and the TikToker is not pleased about it. Wyatt has been claiming to share the footage since his lawyer acquired it, but the YouTube account beat him to it.
In the above video, you will see multiple witnesses calling 911 and reporting a reckless driver in a pink SUV who has been causing trouble at the Chick-fil-A parking lot. The officials tracked Icy down, and what followed was the TikToker going berserk over his arrest.
Why Was Icy Wyatt Arrested?
Icy Wyatt was charged with assaulting the police and another person who he whacked with a firearm. The TikToker is charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, one count of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon for resisting arrest, and battery on an officer.
On March 28, 2022, several 911 calls reported a reckless driver who had been making a scene at the Chick-fil-A parking lot in Sunrise, Florida. The driver with a pink Mercedes SUV had pulled over in the middle of the road, and when he was asked to move his car, he threatened two people with his gun.
The two men called the police and even reported that Wyatt had almost hit a woman who was with kids. The police tracked down Wyatt, but the influencer resisted arrest. He swore at the police, kicked them, and even kicked the cage bars of the police car.
Icy Wyatt’s Reaction to Arrest
As I said before, the version of the arrest told by Icy and the police was completely different. The Tiktoker kept denying any fault and played the victim card for a year after he was bailed on bond.
Wyatt tried to justify everything by claiming that he was complying with the rules and the police were wrong. According to him, the police beat him to the ground despite him complying with everything they said.
The Tiktoker further complained in his videos that the police had ambushed him and held him at gunpoint. He also stated that the police had ripped the phone out of his hand, which is true. However, the police had calmly told him to hand it over and took it only after he denied it.
Wyatt became famous on TikTok by posting lip-sync videos, blogs, and other lifestyle content. He has 1.3 million subscribers on TikTok and has pulled a generous amount of audience in a few years.
The influencer’s arrest brought out the ugly side of influencers. You can hear him asking the officers, “Ya’ll don’t know why I am?.” Later he also complains that he faces trouble on freeways since he is an influencer with a pink SUV, showing a hilarious level of entitlement.
After his phone gets taken away, it only takes moments for the man to get violent and brazen. As his girlfriend showed up, the situation didn’t get any better. Just like her boyfriend, she also claims he is innocent and calls the victims ‘two hilly billies.’
According to Wyatt, anyone who brake checks him, swerves into his lane, and walks out of their car to talk to him is a fan. The insane behavior is only starting as he falsely accuses the officers of tasing him and then threatens them.
Icy Wyatt is currently awaiting his court hearing, and the bodycam footage will definitely serve as strong evidence against him. It’s time for you to choose your idols carefully, as the people hiding behind your favorite reels might not be the most pleasant people.
