Remember when your boss tells you that “our company is like a family?” Well, the Fast and The Furious franchise has taken it too seriously for over two decades now. The first film was released in 2001; feel old yet?

While every imaginable vehicle exploded in these decades, Fast & Furious cherishes the legacy of family ties, extravagant action sequences, and Paul Walker.

With Dominic Toretto (played by Vin Diesel) leading the pack, the OG family of Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez), Roman Pierce (Tyrese Gibson), Tej Parker (Ludacris), and Mia Torreto (Jordana Brewster) are returning for yet another adventure.

FAST X OFFICIAL TRAILER

The trailer brings back the exclusive adrenaline from the Fast franchise. Some of the best moments from the trailer are–

  • The first few minutes show a peculiar bomb that looks more like the one from The Incredibles.
  • Jason Momoa plays the main antagonist, and in the usual dramatic Fast and Furious fashion, he wants to blow up the Vatican! (SMH!) However, it works; we are pumped because of his aura.
  • One of the cult fans’ favorites, Han Seoul-Oh from Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift (3rd installment), has risen from the dead. Fans even petitioned online to bring Sung Kang back to the franchise. He returned to the F9:The Fast Saga (2021)movie, admitting that he faked his death (another SMH!). Nevertheless, we are overjoyed with him and Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) tag team of kicking asses.
  • And no Fast and Furious movie would ever be complete without Michelle Rodrigues fighting another woman, and this time it’s the elegant yet badass Charlize Theron. Can’t wait for the fight scene in their white outfits.
  • In an adorable action sequence, we can see John Cena driving at high speed with a kid (Leo Abelo Perry) in the passenger seat (This would normally be an SMH, but here it is cute).
  • We also see Alison Brie and the ever-so-classy Helen Mirren as Queenie Shaw show glimpses of their characters. And The GoT alum Nathalie Emmanuel looks pretty different in this new character.
  • Overall, this star-packed movie will set the big screens on fire and fill our hearts with nostalgia. Let us know in the comments which new character is your favorite.

Is Fast X Going to Be the Last Fast and the Furious Film?

Is Fast X Going to Be the Last Fast and the Furious Film

As decided by Universal, Fast X will not be the last Fast and The Furious.

*SPOILER ALERT*

The recently released Fast X movie ended on a challenging cliffhanger. All the earlier movies always had a climax of warm family gatherings. But this movie indicates a rather continuous series of their fight against the villain played by Jason Momoa.

This format is actually a pretty popular Hollywood concept with The Twilight series, Hunger Games Series, Marvel’s Avengers series, The Harry Potter series, and many more. This allows the creators to not rush through the plot and give a much-deserved closure to the fans.

Will Fast 11 Be The Last?

No, Fast and Furious 11 will not be the last of this universe. The finale will now be a trilogy, with the first part already released and the next two slated for production. Earlier, Vin Diesel and Universal planned for only one more final movie. But with script advancements, they decided to churn out a trilogy.

We are looking at the climax of the decades-old storyline. The plan for the last two installments is final, but an official announcement of its release date has yet to be announced.

We drew some conclusions for the final releases– The 9th installment of the movie was released in 2021. The 10th movie came out in 2023. We estimate that the last two installments would release somewhere in mid-2025 and the other by 2026, which also marks 25 years of the Fast and Furious franchise. No installment has more than a 4-year gap between releases; this is our best bet.

Also, there were certain disputes during Fast X production, leading to the exit of the director Justin Lin and being replaced by Louis Leterrier. The entire trilogy is presumably directed by Leterrier too.

Will Brian Return in Fast 10?

Brian O’Conner will not be returning in the Fast X movie. The beloved half of the main protagonists in the original series got a sentimental closure after Paul Walker passed away. Furious 7 recreated Paul Walker’s last scene with AI as a tribute to the late actor.

While fans anticipated his appearance in the entire trilogy, he is not included in the Fast X movie.

However, there may be a possibility that Brian O’Conner bids us adieu, at least in the last part of the trilogy.

Is This Really The End of Fast Franchise?

Is This Really The End of Fast Franchise

With the immense box-office success, the Fast franchise will probably produce more spinoff movies. The Hobbs and Shaw sequel is already on the slates.

It would be fun to see a Fast and Furious movie with women as the main protagonists. Michelle Rodriguez is capable of carrying a film on her strong shoulders.

The movie also hints at several other side stories with easter eggs in the last film. Watch for yourself; if you can gather the hints. Let us know what might be the next spinoff. We think there is more to come, but the original storyline is definitely ending.

The Fast X movie was released on May 19th, and you can catch a show in the local theaters nearby.

What do you think of the Fast X movie? Do you agree with splitting the film into a trilogy?

Which one was your favorite Fast and Furious movie so far? Do you think they should recreate the AI version of Brian O’Conner?

From a little girl who wrote school plays and made her friends act in them to an adolescent who got into dark humor, Yashica has built her own universe of peculiar characters inspired by great cinema. She has imbibed the philosophies of David Fincher's characters but lives like the eccentricity of Phoebe Waller Bridge's women. Her metahumans are those who can use the power of words to create an elixir of emotions and bring them to life on screen. Jordan Peele, Issa Rae, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Ilana-Abbi, Raj-DK, Anurag Kashyap, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and others are her Marvel's Avengers. With over two years of experience as a content writer, her writing pieces are well-researched, with a sprinkle of her opinions/inferences that keep the audiences engaged. She is still exploring more on the anime scene but is highly intrigued by it. The cinephile in her makes her appreciate the intricacies of filmmaking. You will get a lot more insight into it in her articles and thoroughly enjoy her explanations. Well, someday, you might see Yashica as one of the writers for a movie-- it's her ultimate dream!
