Let the Demon Slayer soundtrack “Gurenge” blast off…congratulations are in order!
LiSA, the popular J-POP and anime singer, just announced the arrival of her first child on 25th April.
The trilingual announcement was all the international fans needed. The comments are whirring with well wishes for the singer as she promises to continue music with the next phase of her life.
The 35-year-old phenomenal singer gave voice to some of the iconic anime opening tracks to Fate/Zero, Sword Art Online, My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, and many more. At the same time, her singles always chart on Oricon. She debuted as a member of the indie band Chucky, but her career took off after disbandment as she went solo.
However, her journey was never a smooth sailing ride…
The Scandal That Shook LiSA’s Fandom
LiSA announced her marriage to Tatsuhisa Suzuki, a voice actor/singer, in January’2020. Fans were ecstatic yet surprised at the sudden news but congratulated her for finding her “happily ever after.”
But just after a year and a half of marriage, the rumor mills were in overdrive. Suzuki’s alleged relationship with a 20-year-old baffled the fandom. With netizens seeking answers, LiSA announced a hiatus in the middle of the scandal. Even with her dedicated inclination to music, she had to leave the one thing that she loved the most.
LiSA’s Inspiring Journey
After the much-needed time off from the social scene, LiSA announced her comeback with the Ladybug tour. Whether she forgives her husband or divorced him was no longer a concern. Fans were awaiting her musical endeavors more than anything else. This beloved singer went on with her tour and concealed her personal life.
Her life inspired a Netflix documentary– LiSA Another Great Day, released on October 2022. She poured her heart out about her career, personal life, and her love to her supportive fans. Her humble personality swifts away her fans and also teaches us to stay persistent during turbulent times.
And to add feathers to her cap, LiSA’s hit single “Issei no Kassai” was the 2022 FIFA World Cup theme song.
The Next Phase For LiSA
With the new kid on board, it would be interesting to see how her music evolves from here on. Fans have always supported her authenticity and genuine attitude. Anime fans are always reminded of her honey voice as the series starts; it would be a delight to hear her sing more.
