At the Aniplex Online Fest held in Yokohama on September 24th, 2022, it is announced that the light novels’ eighth and ninth volumes will be animated.

About Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai
The Seishun Buta Yaro light novel series was conceptualized by Hajime Kamoshida (writer) and Keji Mizoguchi (artist). The light novel series is licensed by Yen Press and has sold around 2 million copies.
Hajime Kamoshida and Suzumi Nanomiya focus on the manga running in Dengeki’s G Comic for the past seven years. The anime series was produced and developed by CloverWorks and licensed under Aniplex, Plus Media Networks, MVM Entertainment, and Madman Entertainment.
The first season of the anime ran for 13 episodes in 2018. There was also a movie adaptation which was unveiled in 2019. Masahiro Yokotani was the head screenplay written, and the anime flourished under the expert guidance of Soichi Masui.
The first season is about Sakuta (the male protagonist) encountering Mai, who happens to be an actress wearing a bunny girl outfit. As the two draw close, Sakuta investigates why Mai is unnoticeable to most individuals around her. This particular case is the crux of the entire light novel; how some people live in the past and cease to exist in the present.
