Hurray! Edens Zero gets renewed for a second season.

A popular science fantasy anime series is making a return to the screens! J.C. Staff will animate the second season of the Edens Zero anime. Take a look at the teaser trailer released today.

As you can see from the comments section, most fans are happy about the series renewal. The animation looks crisp, so it feels like the studio has outdone itself. The music also sounds pretty epic, and Drakken’s character looks menacing as always.

We also glimpse Witch Regret in her insanely-cool mechanical outfit as one of the Four Shining Stars who manages Edens Zero. Her battle dress surely enthralls many eager followers of the show.

New adventures are coming. Shiki Granbell, Rebecca, and Happy face take obstacles head-on as they continue their vast journey through space and learn about time travel. A repeat broadcast of the previous season will commence on October 4th via Nippon TV this year.

Shinji Ishihara was the chief director for the first season, which has 25 episodes. Yuji Suzuki was also part of the direction team, whose duties have since been passed down to Toshinori Watanabe. Mitsutaka Hirota wrote the screenplay for the animated series. Yoshihisa Hirano was in charge of composing the music for the program.

Edens Zero

This is a science fantasy manga written and illustrated by Hiro Mashima. Mashima is also the mangaka who wrote the highly popular Fairy Tail. The first season of the anime was produced by the studio J.C. Staff which was also involved in the production of One-Punch Man Season 2.

It aired on Nippon TV in Japan, and Netflix purchased the streaming rights and broadcasted it via their network. A video game titled Edens Zero Pocket Galaxy, developed by Konami, was also released in February this year.

An exact release date for Edens Zero season 2 isn’t revealed, but the premiere window is in April 2023.

Though some naysayers criticized the art style, who found it too similar to Fairy Tail, Edens Zero has a far darker tone; it’s up to the fans’ preferred style. Do you have faith in J.C. Staff’s abilities? Will you be watching the 2nd season next year in April? The Grand Shiki Cosmos awaits your answer. Ciao for now!

I am always looking to “go beyond” my full potential, for the real value lies in unexplored realms of greatness. Occasionally, I dabble in art and poetry and love watching classic anime from the bygone era. Anime has come a long way since its inception in the early 20th century, and I’m here to explore everything associated with it. My favorite characters include Saiki Kusuo and Aizen, and my fascination with villains shall never end.
