Wednesday, a popular Netflix show, may move to another streaming platform for season two.
The rights to the series belong to MGM, which Amazon purchased in an $8.5 billion merger.
It is possible that Netflix will have to make a deal with Amazon to air the new season.
Wednesday has not yet been renewed by Netflix but is expected to return due to its success.
The show is the second most popular English-language series on Netflix and has been streamed in over 150 million households.
Jenna Ortega, who stars as Wednesday Addams, hopes for a darker character in the new season.
Wednesday also stars Catherine Zeta-Jones and Christina Ricci and has received two Golden Globe nominations.
It is not yet confirmed if Wednesday will leave Netflix. In the past, Amazon has not made all MGM content exclusive to Prime Video.
