The south street of Philadelphia has seen a terrible incident on Sunday as unknown parties fire shots.
According to Inspector D. F Pace, “An officer shot at one of the suspects from about 30 feet (9 meters) away, but it is unclear if the suspect was hit.”
He added, “You can imagine there were hundreds of individuals just enjoying South Street, as they do every single weekend when this shooting broke out.”
Reports say that two men and a woman were killed in the incident and at least 11 people were wounded.
Though their names weren’t made public by the authorities, We pray for their families in times of despair.
The police said that two handguns were recovered and one has an extended magazine attached to it.
Authorities also revealed that no arrests have been made yet and advised all citizens to be careful.
Mayor Jim Kenney said, “Once again, we see lives senselessly lost and those injured in yet another horrendous, brazen and despicable act of gun violence.”
He added, “My heart is with the family, friends, loved ones of those lost or injured, and with everyone impacted by this terrible tragedy.”
