Director James Cameron has shared new plot details for Avatar 3.
The film will follow the story of two Na'vi clans, the Omaticaya and Metkayina.
A third Na'vi clan, the "Ash People," will also be introduced.
The third film will show a different side of the Na'vi, including their negative traits.
Instead of the Na'vi fighting humans, there will be a conflict between the Na'vi clans.
Avatar 3 will also explore new worlds and continue the story of the main characters.
Production for the film has been completed, and it is set to release in December 2024.
Cameron has said the world of Avatar allows him to tell many stories, but he will always regret those he cannot make.
In a Q&A, the director was asked if he feels limited by the time consumed by the franchise.
He said the Avatar world allows him to tell most of the stories he wants to, but he is aware that time is finite.
