Shirley Watts, the wife of Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts, has passed away at age 82.
Shirley's passing came 16 months after Charlie's death at age 80.
Shirley and Charlie had a daughter, Seraphina, and a granddaughter, Charlotte.
Shirley died after a short illness in Devon, surrounded by her family.
Shirley and Charlie met in 1961 when Shirley was studying sculpture and Charlie was a graphic designer and jazz musician.
They married in 1964, a year after Charlie joined the Rolling Stones.
Shirley became a renowned horse breeder while married to Charlie.
Charlie credited Shirley for saving him from getting into drugs after the Stones became famous.
Charlie was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2004 but eventually recovered.
Charlie passed away on August 24, 2021.
