Avatar's James Cameron Bashes Marvel's Thanos VFX
Marvel is Hollywood's giant in using CGI and VFX shots, but it seems to have a match in the form of James Cameron.
In a promotional interview with Comicbook.com, James Cameron talked about Avatar 2.
The popular director said the motion capture technology used to capture Thanos will not hold a candle against his Na'vi.
When it comes to the emotional stuff for CGI characters, Cameron said the kind of facial recognition we are using...Thanos? Come on.
He added, "Give me a break. You saw "Avatar: The Way of Water.' It's not even close. It's what WETA did."
In his previous interview, Cameron also said that he wants to bring in the level of stakes and character maturity to Avatar that the MCU lacks.
Well, We can decide all this when the film releases but make sure to watch Avatar 2 in your nearest theatres only.
