Andrew Garfield said, "My dad, my brother, and my mother at the time. Yeah, just kind of us." Even though fans are sure about his involvement after the leaked pictures, Andrew did an excellent job misleading us all.

He further said that lying is the best option he had and it was a lot of fun playing the part. Garfield even lied to his Amazing Spider-Man co-star Emma Stone who played Gwen Stacy previously.

Garfield said, "Emma kept on texting me and was like, Are you in this new Spider-Man film? and I was like, I don't know what you're talking about. She was like, Shut up, just tell me. I was like, I honestly don't know, I couldn't even tell her, it was hilarious. And then she saw it and was like, You're a jerk." I didn't want to tell anyone, I took it super seriously, I told no one.

His role in the film was the worst kept secret in Hollywood, yet it also didn't diminish fans' excitement at seeing Garfield walk through a portal in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Garfield may not have the best experience with the Amazing Spider-Man movies, but at least with No Way Home, he got redemption in several ways.
