New Season Announcement In Chibi Form
No trailer has been released. It is just an announcement video. The short tape shows all four female protagonists gathered and conversing among themselves in chibi forms. Among that cute waifus, Sumi Sakurasawa contains a piece of paper while other girls ask about what she is hiding. These other three girls other than Sumi San are Chizuru Ichinose, Mami Nanami, and the cutest one, Ruka Sarashina. She finally showed the paper to all of them, and they announced that season 3 was in development in chorus.
New Writers/ Production Team
No details have been revealed about this either. Kazuomi Koga directed the previous season of this anime. Hirona Hirayama took the role of character designer. Hysdain gave the music. The production houses were Toms Entertainment and Studio Comet. Hajime Takakuwa directed the sound, and Minoru Akiba was the art director.
The funny thing is that season 3 was announced in a video where all the female protagonists were in chibi forms. So, that short video was produced by the same director and production house.
- Shun Horie as Kazuya Kinoshita
- Sora Amamiya as Chizuru
- Rie Takahashi as Sumi
- Nao Toyama as Ruka
- Aoi Yuki as Mami
That short announcement video follows the same cast as well. So, it is also expected that the cast will be the same for next season.
No release date has been confirmed yet. But it may probably come out at the beginning of 2024.
The Backlash and Hate For Rent-A-Girlfriend
A series gets popular for many reasons. Rent A Girlfriend is an anime series that people love to hate, just like Domestic Girlfriend. The anime and manga communities absolutely detest this series. They made harsh comments in the communities when the second season was announced. After the announcement of season 3, the rage among anime fans reemerged.
Despite having cool animation and great artwork, the series is heavily criticized for the male protagonist. People see Kazuya as an annoying, pervert, and unrelatable character.
You would expect such a story to flop among the viewers, but this one became the most trending anime for two straight weeks when it first aired. Rent-A-Girlfriend also presents stereotypical thought processes, which anger many anime fans. But people still watch it to show more hate and to criticize.
Fans may have anger issues with this series, but the production cannot ignore its positive or negative reception. Rent-A-Girlfriend will return with its third season without fans’ excitement.
